🧂 Refund & Returns – The Salty Truth
At Tide & Timber, we make small-batch goods by hand in Wrangell, Alaska. We stand behind what we pack, but we also know life happens, boxes get tossed, and sometimes the tide goes out.

Here’s how we handle it.

Food & Consumables
Salt, spices and anything you can eat or drink cannot be returned once it leaves our hands. This keeps everyone safe and follows health regulations.
If something arrives damaged, wrong, or clearly not right, we will fix it.
Send us a photo within 7 days of delivery and we’ll replace it or refund it faster than you can say “pass the garlic.”

Damaged in Transit
If your order looks like it fell off the dock:

Don’t Like the Flavor?
Taste is personal. Some folks like bold, some like mild, some think ketchup is spicy.
We can’t refund opened food because it wasn’t your favorite — but reach out anyway. We might be able to recommend something better suited to your galley.

Wrong Address / Returned Packages
If a package comes back because the address was incorrect or undeliverable, we can reship it, but additional shipping costs are on the customer.

Order Cancellations
If you catch us before it ships, we can usually cancel it.
If it’s already on the boat/plane/truck, it’s headed your way.

Gear & Non-Food Items
Unused merchandise in original condition can be returned within 14 days.
Customer pays return shipping unless we made the mistake.

Bottom Line
If we messed up, we fix it.
If the carrier messed up, we help.
If your taste buds staged a protest… we sympathize.
